At the Acts Center for Applied Research (ACAR), our goal is to use the tools of applied research to understand and promote healthy and successful aging.

To do so, we partner with leading universities, health care providers, government agencies, and other nonprofits across and beyond the United States to study issues and trends in areas such as well-being, life purpose, brain health, community, and technology.

As the research division of Acts Retirement-Life Communities, ACAR helps fulfill a mission of social responsibility, putting into action our organization’s deep commitment to work for the well-being of older adults and enhance the services available to them.
